Lisa Scatena M.D, F.A.A.D
Dr. Scatena has been a Boulder resident since 1994 where she lives with her husband and 2 four-legged, furry sons. Her young adult sons are off living their best lives in Texas and Arizona.
She has a special interest in medical dermatology, notably systemic diseases with skin findings and transplant patient care. She founded Rocky Mountain Dermatology in 2008.Dr. Scatena received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UCLA in physiology. Her medical degree and post graduate training in Internal Medicine and Dermatology were from the University of Colorado, Denver School of Medicine where she remains on faculty today.
She has been named a 5280 "Top Doctor" in dermatology most recently in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, she has been recognized as a Patient's Choice Award Colorado Favorite Physician from 2008-2012. CastleConnolly has named her a top dermatologist throughout her career and most recently in 2024.
In her free time she enjoys gardening, antiquing, hiking and trying to keep up with her husband and sons-skiing, surfing, mountain biking and fly fishing.
